Getting ready for Easter.

This Easter promises to be a little bit different. Started out it was going to be at Sher Bear's house in C-town but then got bounced back to our house. Should be lots of fun. We have a tradition that we hide everyone's Easter basket. The rule is, if you don't find it within the alloted time, you must go outdoors and tell the world that, "Yes, I am a loser and I can't find my Easter Basket!" As Sher says, "what a wonderful way to celebrate the rising of Christ." Sometimes I think she is being sarcastic?
We'll have our usual full house with the exception of Aaron, Kristy and the two youngest grandchildren. We haven't seen the new grandbaby very much at all and I'm sure she is changing every day. We are hoping to see her soon.
Planning on having a wonderful feast as I must put the new stove to a holiday test. We are having, lamb, ham, turkey, two types of potatoes, two vegetables, two salads, bread, and a really neat dessert of angel food cake with fresh mascerated berries and whipped cream.
Hope they come hungry!
Next week we are going to C-town to celebrate both John and Jack's birthday. We are planning on taking John and Sher to dinner on Saturday and then having Jack's dinner on Sunday. Sometime during that period we have to try and celebrate Easter with Nicholas. Not sure how that's going to work. We made a bunch of fillable eggs and have a basket for him to collect all the eggs from the yard. And, we made a really fun Easter basket for him. I have a lot of cooking to do at Jacks on Sunday, so, not sure if I'll send the Easter stuff back with Jack this Sunday to just give to Nicholas and hope that somebody takes pictures for us or if we'll try to cram everything in on next Sunday. We'll see.
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Nicholas - laid back!

Aunt Kate got Nicholas a "Hip-Hop" Ed Hardy designer shirt and he LOVES IT! Caught him in his laid back pose and thought it was a cute picture. Also adding picture of Uncle Jack putting Nicholas is a "Gater Roll."

She is finally here!

At 1:15 p.m. on Monday, our Claire finally arrived. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was 18 inches long. She is a real chunk! This one looks like our family - with all those multiple chins! She has lots of very very blond fuzz (especially in the back of her head) and one, possibly two dimples. And those, I might add, she gets from her Nana!!!!!

Nicholas was great with her. Gave her a kiss and a hug and even told his mother, "cute." I think Claire looks very much like her Aunt Kate did at birth. She has the same coloring, chubby cheeks, and blond fuzz. Lucky for Claire!
Here are some pictures of Claire, Claire & Nicholas, their Mom and Dad and the very proud grandparents!
