It's on the way!

Well, if Kristy doesn't start labor on her own today, tomorrow my new grandchild will be born whether it wants to be or not! They are going to induce her at 5:30 a.m. on Monday. So, hopefully, by this time tomorrow my blog will have pictures of the new grandbaby. I think it's another boy and so do Tom and Aaron. Kristy, I think, is holding out for a girl. Hope it's a boy so she'll be willing to do this again to get her girl!

I truly have lost it!

Middle of the night, the phone rings, Tom gets the phone and I run, put clothes on, grab my bag and head for the door WHEN Tom stops me and tells me it was for him and he got called to the station for a fire. This baby better come soon or they really will come and put me in the home!

Trying to work off my excess energy and have been putting about an hour a day on the Wii. I really am enjoying it. So far the lowest Wii Fit age I can reach is 28 and that was only once. Usually it's around 33-35. Still not bad for a 60 year old. Doing pretty well with the yoga, except for the tree stand thing - still want to fall over on that one.

Looking forward to spring and to New Orleans. It's their 40th anniversary and lots of big names are going to be there this year. We have a full house coming to stay with us. Tom and I, Kate and Dave, Dave's brother and his girlfriend and a couple of Kate and Dave's friends. Tom and I will be the only old folks and I have no intention of trying to keep up with the youngsters. We pretty much go our own way and enjoy ourselves with lots of music, food and people watching. (Usually it's our kids we're watching!). Here are some pics from the Jazz Fest in years past. And, oh yeah, that is me with my buddy the Mayor!

What about jumping jacks?

Okay, so my daughter-in-law is getting really tired of me texting her and asking if anything is new. It's not like she won't call me, I'm just anxious! Asked her today if she considered doing a couple of jumping jacks. Don't think she thought it was as funny as I did.

She is already thinking this one is going to be trouble. As we all know, the second one usually is the pistol! (as evidenced by my Jack!) However, I told her, he may be the one that keeps me on my toes the most, but he was always the one to snuggle as a baby more than the others. She would be lucky to have one like him.

In any event, still packed, suitcase by the door, car gas tank filled, I am ready to go! I'll keep everyone posted. Here's a great picture of Kristy, just to give you an idea how ready she really is!

Still waiting for the new grandbaby!

So I've been told by my husband that I need to update my blog. Lots of things going on but some not good so didn't want to put that in here. On a better note, we are still waiting for Kristy to deliver our next grandchild. I think it's another boy and so does Tom. We'll see. Poor Kristy is so uncomfortable and I'm sure sick to death of me texting her every day to see how she is. My bags are packed and I'm ready to leave at a moments notice to head down to Columbus and watch Nicholas while Aaron is at the hospital with Kristy.
Kristy says that Nicholas is not too crazy about another baby being on the way. She tried to move his clothes from the baby dresser to the "big boy" dresser and he moved all the clothes back. He is not crazy about sleeping in his toddler bed. Don't think Mom and Dad are too crazy about it either since Nicholas found out he could get out of this bed and run around the house at all hours of the night.

Should be interesting when he finally meets the baby. I remember Aaron wouldn't talk to me or look at me for a week or so when we brought Jack home.

We are still working on the bathroom (I say we when I really mean Tom). Should be able to start tiling this week. I can't wait for it to be done so we can move back upstairs. I keep getting up at night and going in the wrong direction to the bathroom! Luckily, I figure it out before the deed needs to be done!

I am posting some new pictures of (you guessed it!) Nicholas at Tom's birthday dinner and at Aaron's birthday dinner. Also some of Pop Pop and Nicholas taking a walk. Not sure who enjoyed it more.
